Superstar singer Adele made a special appearance at Chelsea fire station to thank them for their hard work during the Grenfell Tower disaster.

The Someone Like You star casually popped in for a cup of tea and a cuddle on Monday, June 20.

London Fire Brigade tweeted that they are "so humbled by everyone's support" after heroic firefighters battled the blaze at the 27 floor apartment block and continue to work at the scene.

Firefighter Rob Petty, who enjoyed a brew with the popstar, said: "Not everyday the wonderfully grounded and caring Adele pops into Chelsea Firestation for a cup of tea and a cuddle."

Adele wanted to personally thank firefighters for their hard work

Talented London-born Adele was pictured chatting with firefighters at the station and cracking jokes with the team.

She had previously made a low-key appearance at the North Kensington tower block, which was destroyed by flames, within hours after disaster struck.
