"Appropriate action" has been promised after a Met police car was photographed parked on double yellow lines outside Hounslow police station.
David Williams took this photo of the Metropolitan Police vehicle flouting parking restrictions in Montague Road, Hounslow , on Saturday (November 21).
He says he has also seen police vans parked on double yellows outside Jobcentre Plus across the road a number of times.
"Another police car parked illegally outside Hounslow police station on a corner junction and two yellow lines. Not OK if we did it!" he tweeted.
A police spokeswoman told getwestlondon the Met was investigating the matter.
"Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) officers should always ensure police vehicles are parked in a considerate and appropriate manner," she said.
"Officers should respect parking restrictions - including yellow lines - unless there are good operational reasons for not doing so.
"Senior officers at Hounslow have been made aware of the situation and will take appropriate action."
