Motorists are facing delays during their commute on Wednesday morning (October 25) due to a collision which has closed the A404 in both directions.

The road is closed in West Kilburn between the B450 Ladbroke Grove and Sixth Avenue, with queues back to the B451 Mortimer Road (Kensal Green Station).

Transport for London (TfL), is advising motorists to use an alternative route.

Road reopen in both directions

Road has reopened

Metropolitan Police has said the roads reopened at around 8.30am.

A diversion was in place earlier in the morning and Transport for London was warning motorists of delays.

No arrests have been made

According to police, no arrests have been made following the collision this morning.

The pedestrian taken to hospital is male and aged in his 60’s

Pedestrian hospitalised

A spokesman for Met Police said:

We were called by the LAS at 7.05am.

It’s a lorry in collision with a pedestrian.

Injuries were treated as potentially life-threatening.

Pedestrian was taken to a central London hospital.

Injuries are now non-life threatening or changing.
