Transport for London (TfL) is advising motorists to "use caution" on approach to the Hanger Lane roundabout.

Lane restrictions are in place due to a fire and TfL is warning of slow traffic in both directions on the A40 Western Avenue at the junction of Hanger Lane.

As we bring our blog to a close, we can confirm that traffic is now flowing well on the A40 Western Avenue.

London Fire Brigade were called to the scene at the Hanger Lane Underpass at 17.16.

Three fire engines attended and found grass alight on the central reservation.

The fire was extinguished at 17.34 and previous lane restrictions on the A40 were lifted.

London Fire Brigade confirmed the fire was extinguished at 5.34pm

London Fire Brigade were called to the scene at 5.16pm, receiving a total of 24 calls.

A spokesman from the brigade said: “It was grass alight on the central reservation”.

A total of three fire engines were sent to the scene.
