Motorists are facing large queues in west London this morning, including eight miles of traffic from Uxbridge to Hanger Lane.
Traffic is running for eight miles on the A40 between A437, Hillingdon Circus, and A406 North Circular, Hanger Lane Gyratory.
The queues are originally due to a breakdown at Savoy Circus in Acton, and there has also been a crash on the A40 in Hanger Lane, which is also causing congestion on the A40 to A4000, Gypsy Corner.
Motorists are also facing long delays from Hanger Lane down to the Chiswick Roundabout.

Footage shows moment police van is towed away after crash in Hanger Lane
Footage came from motorcyclist Dominic Brinkworth, who said it was recorded this morning.
He added the date appearing in the footage, saying “2013”, is incorrect due to the camera’s poor quality.

The collision which caused chaos on the A40 this morning was between a police van and a car, it has been confirmed.
Metropolitan police said one of its vans was involved in a collision with a car at around 7am, on the A40 Hanger Lane Gyratory.
One police officer was treated for minor injuries, officers said.
Getwestlondon has asked police if the van was responding to a call at the time.
