The A316 in Chiswick was blocked for around 25 minutes on Saturday afternoon (August 12) after a collision.

The busy road was briefly blocked in both directions by a fire engine due to a crash between Hogarth Roundabout and Chalkers Corner, near the crossroads with Hartington Road.

One eyewitness described seeing a "Zafira with its front bashed in".

However he added that "it doesn't look that bad".

There was another car parked up behind the Zafira but it was unclear if it was involved in the collision.

Police, ambulance and fire crews all attended the scene after the collision, which happened at about 5.10pm.

The road was cleared at 5.40pm.

The incident happened less than five hours after a man was injured in a collision between a lorry and a car on the M4 in Brentford , causing traffic congestion around Chiswick.
