An investigation is under way by Brent police after an elderly man was shot and rushed to hospital.

Emergency services arrived to the Hillside in Stonebridge on Monday (January 23) after reports of a gunshot at around 11pm.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "The victim was shot in his right foot in Hillside.

Police were called to this spot in Stonebridge after the shooting

"He was rushed to hospital where he is being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing.

"Officers from the Met’s Trident gang and command are investigating the shooting."

The Met confirmed the man was 63-years-old.
