A total of 26 restaurants in west London have made a top 100 list of food establishments in the UK.

Chefs including Jamie Oliver, Antonio Carluccio and Nick Jones have compiled the list for The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants.

Currently the list is not ranked, but a winner for each of eight regions in the country will be revealed in the magazine on Sunday (February 5).

A total of 37 restaurants have been entered for the London region, and here are the west-bound establishments up for consideration.

The Five Fields, Chelsea

The restaurant boasts that it "offers elegant and playful modern British cooking with an emphasis on native British artisanal produce", whilst balancing "luxurious indulgence with delightfully fresh simplicity".

It is located in Blacklands Terrace, Chelsea

Hedone, Chiswick

You can find Hedone at 301 to 303 Chiswick High Road.

The Michelin Guide once said of the establishment: "The refreshingly unfussy food, from a small and daily changing menu, relies primarily on the superlative quality of the ingredients."

Santa Maria Pizzeria, Ealing

The Sunday Times said: "The vibrancy of London’s culinary scene is illustrated by restaurants ranging from Dinner By Heston Blumenthal, which the guide describes as offering a menu “of perfect balance and brilliance”, to Santa Maria Pizzeria in Ealing, which serves up “the best pizzas north of Italy”.

Bao, Fitzrovia

Bao is located at Windmill Street in Fitrovia and is open Monday to Saturday.

It also has sites in Soho and Netil Market.

TripAdvisor.co.uk has it ranked with a 4.5 star rating out of five.

Six Portland Road, Holland Park

The restaurant says of itself: "Six Portland Road is a small neighbourhood restaurant, tucked away off Holland Park Avenue."

It is closed on Mondays, but opened every other day.

The Wolseley, St James's

There are 17 W1-based restaurants in the list, ranging from well-established names such as The Ritz and The Wolesley to newer openings like Clipstone, Bao and Kiln, the Sunday Times says.

The Ledbury, Notting Hill

You'll find The Ledbury in Ledbury Road in Notting Hill.

It boasts two Michelin Stars and multiple awards.
