Hillingdon's multiple town centres are an undiscovered treasure trove of great places to eat.

Not that Hillingdon residents mind though, it keep the queues short and there's never a shortage of places to try.

So here are ten of the best takeaways in Hillingdon , according to Trip Advisor.

We've also thrown in their food hygiene ratings because of this Harrow horror story . You can find out more about that below...

West Drayton

Sipson Tandoori

Boosted by its proximity to Heathrow's numerous airports, this is a firm favourite with travellers looking for a curry.

One punter summarised it best in his review three weeks ago stating: "Don't go as often as we should and when we do always wish we visited more often."

The restaurant on Harmondsworth Road has even won numerous awards including a British Curry Award, and a 5-star hygiene rating.

Kaniz

Another lauded Indian restaurant in the shadows of Heathrow's airport hotels, this restaurant has been labelled by one reviewer as "Not a bad Indian with a veneer of class". 5 star food hygiene here.

A review of the Bath Road restaurant from last week says "Probably the best Indian meal we have had & already looking forward to returning!"

Zayani

I think you can guess what our third West Drayton top takeaway might be.

This is an Indian near the airport hotels which has a legion of devoted fans across the globe.

One reviewer said earlier this month seemed pretty satisfied:

"Once again the meal was a triumph. Spices perfectly blended complimenting the chicken breast that was marinaded and cooked to perfection... Until next time guys... Thank You."

Three stars for food hygiene here, which means "generally satisfactory".

Uxbridge

Javitri

If you're not all about spice or you simply need a break from the after-effects of a curry, tough.

Curry is, after all the nations favourite takeaway and we have some gems in Hillingdon, like Javitri on the High Street.

"Amazing food, attentive servers and beautiful decor. Can't fault the place it was lovely" says one reviewer.

What more could you ask for? Oh and it has 5 stars for hygiene.

Lumbini

Not your average curry house.

This is Nepalese cuisine and our friends from the Himalayas seem to know a lot about good food and has a 4 star hygiene rating to boot.

Lauded as being vegetarian and vegan friendly, this New Denham restaurant left one reviewer so impressed he wrote this:

"I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning even though we don't live near local."

Curry Culture

Curry Culture, Rockingham Parade, Uxbridge

Rounding off Uxbridge's contribution to the list is another Indian takeaway, on Rockingham Road, with three-stars for food hygiene.

A very satisfied customer had this to say: "The only thing to beat the price and the service was the quality of the food it was out of this world.

"Full of flavours, certainly walked away full up and a doggy bag of the bits we couldn't finish."

Ruislip

Melisi

An Italian restaurant has crept on to our list coming highly recommended from TripAdvisor reviewers and can be found on Ruislip's High Street.

Serving up authentic pizza in Neapolitan style, this is where to head if you're in Hillingdon and craving a pie.

Not only is it one of the best Italian takeaways in the borough, with a 5 star hygiene rating too boot, but one reviewer thinks its a seriously well-hidden gem.

"I've yet to find anywhere in the UK that beats it in terms of pizza quality and flavour".

Istanbul

Ruislip loves some diversity, serving up delicious, authentic Turkish food at Istanbul on Victoria Road, near Ruislip Manor station.

Lauded for it's meaty portions and complimentary salad and moreish Turkish bread, and 5 star food hygiene rating, one reviewer pointed out simply "The fact it's packed nearly every evening tells you all you need to know."

Jamaican Cuisine

Taking a no nonsense approach to naming their business, the owners have really hit the sweet spot with this Caribbean restaurant.

The green, yellow and black decoration scheme is a not so subtle way of telling you the food is authentic and it shows.

Out of the 450 people who have reviewed the restaurant, an overwhelming 329 gave it the top rating of 5-stars while the Food Standards Agency gave it four stars for hygiene.

Hayes

Grapes Tandoori

We're rounding off our top 10 with another curry house, because honestly, why not?

This Uxbridge Road restaurant has a place in the heart of many Hayes curry lovers and a flashy 5 star hygiene rating.

One regular explains why: "We have been there lots if times and the reason why we do that is because the food is the best that you will ever taste in your life."

Seems legit.
