Game of Thrones fans will have to wait until next year for series 8, but thanks to Royal Mail they can still get their fix of the series.

The postal service has released a limited edition stamp collection featuring some of the show's leading characters including Sansa Stark, Jon Snow, Eddard Stark, Olenna Tyrell and Tywin Lannister.

Prices start at £3.65 for a standard sheet set , which comes with five first class stamps of The Night King and white walkers, giants, direwolves, dragons and the Iron Throne.

Meanwhile, the complete character set (£6.70), comes with stamps of Cersei Lannister, Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, Arya Stark and Daenerys Targaryen to name a few.

Royal Mail's new collection would make a lovely gift for stamp collectors, as well as fans of the show. However, if you want to get your hands on them you'll need to be quick as it's expected they will sell out quickly.

For die-hard fans of the HBO series there are also framed options available to buy, with prices starting at £39.99 and going up to £99.

The £39.99 frame has a picture of the characters against a backdrop of King's Landing - each of the stamps have been individually mounted in a black frame.

Royal Mail created the range of stamps to mark the significant British contribution to the show’s production, as many of the leading characters - such as Jon Snow, Arya Stark and Daenerys Targaryen - hail from the UK.

The fantasy drama, which is based on a series of novels by George RR Martin, will return to screens in 2019, although an official air date is yet to be confirmed.

Last year show bosses revealed that it would be the last series, and will only comprise of six-episodes.
