Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in W4 which has cost a 76-year old man his life.

The pensioner, who was driving a Nissan, was in collision with a grey Mazda and silver Toyota Prius shortly before 4pm on Sunday December 29 in Acton Lane.

He was taken by ambulance to a west London hospital where he died. His next of kin have been informed but formal identification is still to take place. A postmortem will be scheduled in due course.

A woman passenger from the Nissan, aged 77, was also taken to hospital and remains there in a serious but stable condition.

The Toyota driver was taken to hospital as a precaution and later discharged.

Road closures were put in place whilst police investigated and all roads were re-opened by 7.49pm.
