FRESH details of the Jubilee beacon lighting party in Hounslow’s Lampton Park have been announced.

The festivities, set to be among the highlights of the borough’s celebrations, will begin outside the Civic Centre at 9pm on Monday, June 4.

There will a life-size fire-breathing dragon and fire performances from the Dragon Heart Beats, with music from Barnes Concert Band.

Hounslow’s new mayor Pritam Grewal will light a beacon, one of thousands being lit across the country, at 10.15pm.

Anyone born in February 1952, the month of the Queen’s ascension to the throne, can get a special invitation to the beacon lighting as a guest of the mayor.
