Two people cut from wreckage after cars collide in Yiewsley

Two women had to be cut free after two cars collided on Colham Bridge on the Yiewsley and West Drayton border.

Fire crews from Hillingdon and Heston were on scene for more than two hours after the smash at about 9.50pm in High Street, Yiewsley last night (Thursday).

London Ambulance Service sent a paramedic and two ambulances.

A 27-year-old woman with minor injuries was taken to Hillingdon Hospital. The condition of the other woman is not known.

Both had been trapped because of the nature of their injuries, one in each car, and London Fire Brigade cut the roof from both vehicles to help get them out.
