A man who went missing after appearing in court has been found.

Metropolitan Police had appealed for the whereabouts of Luis Pedro Costa who was last seen leaving Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on March 7, after he was charged for unlawfully being airside, and unlawfully being on an aircraft at Heathrow Airport on March 5.

They raised the alarm after the 38-year-old Portuguese man failed to return to his home in Chiswick after the hearing.

But officers say he has been found safe and well in the Denham area of Buckinghamshire.

Following his appearance in court in Uxbridge, Costa is to stand trial for allegedly breaching security and locking himself inside the cockpit of a British Airways plane.

He has been remanded on conditional bail until March 22, when a trial is due to begin at the same court .
