A TEENAGER from Isleworth is a hit on the internet after attracting more than four million views to her YouTube channel in just 3 years.

Singing talent Courtney Bennett, 18, is said to be gifted with a seductive sweet tone, reminiscent of the late Aaliyah. She names Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill as some of her influences.

The former pupil of The Green School in London Road studied music at GCSE and has sang in venues in London, Oxford and Leicester.

Courtney said: "I would not go down the X-Factor route as I believe it is important you do things your own way, why let people change you. My aim is to make good, heartfelt music and share it, and I would love to perform in America. That would be a great experience."

Born in Hammersmith, living in Isleworth since age five, Courtney started singing when she was just 11, writing many of her own songs, and regularly collaborating with fellow up and coming music group Zion and Crafter.

Proud mum Katie Gardener, who has a degree in music technology, said: "Every time I hear Courtney sing, she amazes me. I see great things for her, not just in music, but in life. She knows her mind and will achieve whatever she wants to achieve."
