Last chance to have your say in the second round of the public exhibition on the regeneration plans for Chiswick High Road is tomorrow (5).

People living in the area are invited to attend the open event of 408-430 Chiswick High Road to view and discuss proposals which include converting high rise tower Empire House into homes with balconies overlooking Turnham Green, and for a second building to be built fronting onto Essex Place.

The designs will also show locations for additional residential units in Essex Place and Acton Lane, on the border of Hounslow and Hammersmith and Fulham, and new seven-front retail units along Chiswick High Road.

Residents can go along to the display at 424 Chiswick High Road between 10am and 2pm, this Saturday.

The development of the 1.3 acre plot between Chiswick High Road, Acton Lane and Essex Place is being carried out by Lend Lease, a leading international property and infrastructure group, which acquired the site in March.

Project director Janet Kidner said: “Our first exhibition was very successful, with over 400 local people coming in to view our proposals.

"Since then, we have been working very hard to develop the plans in more detail.

"Our objectives for this scheme are to foster a sense of place through local participation which harnesses the local heritage of the site and its surroundings and to create high-quality homes and a safe and healthy environment which is predominately for the local owner-occupier market.

"We look forward to meeting residents again at the second public exhibition to explain in more detail our considered proposals, hear residents’ comments and answer any questions they may have.”

The first public exhibit was held on last month on June 5 for three days.
