On Sunday last, I had the great pleasure of attending a musical extravaganza in the Albert Hall, presented by Harrow Young Musicians, and I want to say what a marvellous evening this was.

The quality of the playing, the clever mixture of styles of music which would appeal to the young players, while also expanding their musical experience, the overall quality of programming and organisation, created an immensely enjoyable evening.

Harrow residents, the patrons and the authority which supports this fine venture should take immense pride in the quality of these young people's achievements.

Above all, may I congratulate the organisers and those whose tremendous skill, hard work and creativity accomplished so much.

Young people receive a lot a brickbats; those involved in this event merit nothing but praise.

Harrow residents should give them all possible support.
