A female cyclist has suffered serious head injuries after being hit by a van in Fulham Palace Road on Monday afternoon.

A female cyclist has suffered serious head injuries after being hit by a van in Fulham Palace Road on Monday afternoon.

The woman, 25, was taken to nearby Charing Cross Hospital as a priority following the smash, which happened at the junction of Nella Road at about 1.15 and blocked the road in both directions.

Witnesses said passers-by helped the seriously injured woman into the ambulance, which arrived in under four minutes. Onlookers added the woman was 'seriously injured' but was able to move her legs.
