A YOUNG actor has landed a part in a West End production of Oliver!

Emmett Carroll, 13, gives up part of his weekend each week to train at Stagecoach acting school, at Oak Farm School, in Windsor Avenue, Hillingdon.

He has been a student there for six years and now his hard work is paying off.

He said: " I have really enjoyed the experience of appearing in a West End show and working with lots of West End Stars, including Jodie Prenger and Griff Rhys Jones."

Fifty of his classmates went to watch him in his opening performance at The Royal Theatre.

Rebecca Odedra, principal of Stagecoach, said: "This has been a wonderful experience for him and we are all very proud."
