Shake your tail feather and get down to Cranford this summer for a musical favourite .

Concorde Players are staging Hairspray from Wednesday August 6-Saturday, August 9, packed fuller than an aerosol can with great tunes.

Based on John Waters’ cult film of 1988, Hairspray has successfully transferred to Broadway and the West End, and now community theatre groups such as Concorde get their turn.

The ultimate feel-good show with a joyous, toe-tapping, heart-warming, groove-shaking soundtrack tells the story of Tracy Turnblad and her quest to integrate the racially segregated Corny Collins Show, while fending off her love rival and keeping her impressive hairdo in once piece.

Hairspray is suitable for all the family, and plays at 7.30pm each night plus a 2pm Saturday matinee.
