I AM writing to thank you and your readers for their generosity again this year with regard to your Christmas Toy Appeal.

I AM writing to thank you and your readers for their generosity again this year with regard to your Christmas Toy Appeal.

We received more than 100 toys, which will be shared out among the children we care for over the coming weeks.

Katie Waissel's visit to Northwick Park Hospital's children's ward, Jack's Place, on Thursday, December 16 to present some of these was greatly appreciated and created an exciting atmosphere, for not just the children and their parents, but also our staff as well.

Your readers were very kind in donating many gifts.

Christmas can feel like a somewhat lonely time of year to children in hospital who would rather be at home with their families. The delivery of so many wonderful presents by a VIP to our younger patients has added a note of cheer to Jack's Place this Christmas. Many thanks once again.
