With Bonfire Night sure to go off with a bang, The National Lottery is urging players in Hammersmith & Fulham to check their tickets for the chance to rocket themselves into the realms of the wealthy.
For one unsuspecting ticket-owner in the borough is sitting on a sparkling prize of £245,597, without realising it.
The winning ticket bought in the borough matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number in the EuroMillions draw on September 2. Numbers were 12, 26, 37, 38, 44 and the Lucky Star numbers were 4 and 7. The lucky ticket-holder has until 11pm on 29 February 2012 to come forward and make their claim.
If no-one does so, the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to the Good Causes – adding to the £26 billion already raised through sales of lottery tickets since The National Lottery launched in November 1994.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: "We’re desperate to find this missing ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – before their chance of claiming their win is blown sky high. We have the champagne on ice, our fingers crossed and fireworks on hand to help the ticket-holder celebrate should they come forward in time to claim their prize."
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
Anyone concerned about lost or unchecked tickets may like to consider either setting up a National Lottery Subscription, playing online at www.national-lottery.co.uk or on their mobile phone. Numbers can be entered in advance and lucky winners are notified online if their numbers come up. For further information call 0845 912 5000 or visit www.national-lottery.co.uk.
