Tomorrow will mark two weeks since the disappearance of 14-year-old school girl Alice Gross from her home in Hanwell.

Thousands of people are preparing to wear yellow ribbons tomorrow in the event that Alice is not found before.

Alice, a Brentside High School pupil, has been missing from her home since Thursday August 28. She was last seen on CCTV at 16:23 near Trumpers Way Canal Bridge.

Two men were initially arrested on suspicion of murder but both have since been released. A 51-year-old was released with no further action and a 25-year-old was released on bail.

Missing Alice Gross yellow ribbon campaign tomorrow

Thursday's yellow ribbon campaign and the distribution of 10,000 posters across London aim to appeal to people to keep their eyes open for any sight of Alice, who remains a missing person.

Admins of the Facebook group 'Find Alice Gross' wrote this morning: "Update on yellow ribbons for Alice on Thursday September 11. You are an amazing group of people! We had not expected such a response and so quickly.

"Alice’s family have particularly asked us if we can just use completely plain yellow ribbons (both tied and worn on clothing) with no printing and particularly no images of Alice. The plain yellow ribbon is a simple and well-understood international symbol for a missing person which Alice’s family want to support. Alice's family feel that if you would like to write  ‪#‎FindAlice‬  on ribbons then this is absolutely fine.

"What an amazing community we live in, thank you everyone."
