X FACTOR girl group Little Mix capped off an eventful week with a masterful performance on Saturday's (5) live show.

Former Harlington Community School mentor Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 20 (pictured, centre, with mum Debbie backstage)  with fellow Little Mix members Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, and Jade Thirlwall, booked their place in the final seven after hitting the high notes with their rendition of Rhianna's 'Don't Stop The Music'.

Judge Louie Walsh said they had 'broken the girl group curse' on the show, and fellow panellist Tulisa Contostavlos played up their chances of going all the way and winning the competition.

They were the first act to be told that they had gained enough of the public vote to remain in the contest. Boy band The Risk, and Harrow man Johnny Robinson were both axed on Sunday (6) in a surprise double eliminiation.

The girls joined chart-topper Jessie J on stage at the Hammersmith Apollo last Wednesday (2).

Formerly known as Rhythmix, they were forced to change their name after disputes with a Sussex-based charity of the same name.
