FRIGHTENING isn't it? Street spies (you'll never be able to trust your neighbours again) with the bureaucratic doublespeak name of 'street champions' ('Police spied on me' claims man tracked by CCTV, June 3).

FRIGHTENING isn't it? Street spies (you'll never be able to trust your neighbours again) with the bureaucratic doublespeak name of 'street champions' ('Police spied on me' claims man tracked by CCTV, June 3).

It means every person or family who live a life that doesn't fit in with 'normal person behaviour' may be victimised by self-appointed neighbourhood police.

So long as you tread the straight and narrow, do not belong to some form of minority, never irritate your neighbours and never break one of the myriad by-laws, you won't be a victim of a witch hunt, I suppose.

What an intolerant society this has become.
