People will be baking and brewing (and supping and scoffing) in their droves across Hounslow for the World's Biggest Coffee Morning next Friday (September 26).

The annual event in which people are invited to enjoy baked treats and a cuppa in exchange for a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support raised a record £20.5 million last year.

Ross Poole Salon is celebrating the day day by holding a Tea in the Square event outside the salon in Albany Parade, Brentford.

As well as the compulsory refreshments, there will be entertainment including face-painting, nail art, games and live music from Shahid Abbas, who sang for Prince Harry at Buckingham Palace. The event will take place from 9am onwards.

Isleworth Working Men's Club, in St Johns Road, Isleworth, is also holding a raffle on the day, with prizes including a football signed by Brentford FC players and champagne afternoon tea at Hilton Syon Park. Its event will run from 11am to 1pm.

Brentford Docks will again be celebrating the coffee morning with an event organised by Jennifer Corbin at the Residents' Clubroom, in Augustus Close, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

As well as tasty treats baked by householders on the docks, there will be a huge raffle with prizes from Brentford businesses and a signed Brentford FC shirt.

* Let us know if you're holding a coffee morning event for the charity and we'll try to add it to the list.
