A PARTY to end all parties was held at the German Octoberfest Pub in Fulham on Sunday night as proud patrons celebrated their nation's historic World Cup victory over Argentina.

The pub was crammed to the rafters as German fans from across London flocked to the Fulham Road venue to watch the dramatic final unfold.
Germany clinched the World Cup for the fourth time with a Mario Gotze goal in the second period of injury time, becoming the first European nation to win it in the Americas.

Nathan Gee works at the pub and is one of the few members of staff who is not German. He was born in Scotland but grew up in Australia, and only started working at Octoberfest a fortnight ago.
Speaking the following day (Monday), he said: “It was an unbelievable night, I have never seen anything like it. There were 225 people making a huge amount of noise.“The first people were turning up around midday on Sunday and they were all pretty confident. As the game went on and it went into extra-time they got a bit nervous, but the place erupted afterwards.”

A late-night licence meant celebrations continued until 1am and Nathan said: “It was a party to end all parties. It was just unbelievable.
“The boss said there was a massive party at the last World Cup when Germany reached the semi-finals, but it was no where near as big as last night.”
