Fundraising women dressed in pink turned up in Uxbridge to take part in the Race for Life and raise money for Cancer Research UK over the weekend.

It took place at Hillingdon House Farm Sports Ground, in Park Road, and saw the women run, jog and walk the 5k-course on Sunday (June 7) morning.

Money raised from the pink brigade will go towards the charity to continue its research into all 200 types of charity.

The fundraisers, including women wearing garish pink wigs, took park in a mass warm-up before starting the race at 11am, with some participants choosing to run while others opted to enjoy the scenery and warm weather and complete the course at a leisurely stroll.
