A woman had to be treated on her driveway this morning after suffering from burns.

Police were called at 8am to reports of a distressed woman at a home in Headstone Lane, Harrow.

Local councillor Georgia Weston (Independent) tweeted about the incident this morning while passing by.

"Obviously it's school time and people are driving around like crazy but it all came to a halt.

"Police got there first and now ambulances are there. There's someone lying down in a front driveway being treated.

"It's just opposite the school so loads of kids were walking past, so they covered the area in blue tarpaulin so they could not see."

The woman's injuries are not thought to be life threatening at this stage.

Police told getwestlondon : "Officers attended and discovered a woman suffering from burns to her upper body and head.

"She was taken to a north London hospital by the London Ambulance Service."

There is not believed to be any damage to property and no other other people are thought to have been involved in the incident.

Police from Harrow are continuing investigations.
