A 52-year-old woman was raped in a park, it is alleged.

The woman reported being attacked between midnight and 1am on Wednesday, July 10, in Roundwood Park, opposite Doyal Gardens, between Harlesden and Willesden.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Service’s Sapphire Command are investigating and the woman is receiving support. There have been no arrests.

Detective Inspector Jodie Tuff, from Sapphire Command, said: “I appeal to anyone who was in this area at this time to contact us. All calls will be treated in confidence.

“Incidents of this kind are extremely rare in London and we remind people to be aware of their personal safety and their surroundings, particularly if they are alone. Extra police patrols will continue to take place in the area so please speak to police if you can help.”
