An Italian woman is due to appear in court suspected of murdering her two-month-old daughter in Hammersmith and Fulham.

Federica Boscolo-Gnolo, 31, of no fixed UK abode, was arrested on Thursday (January 29) after she reported the disappearance of her baby daughter, Farah Boscolo-Gnolo, from a hotel in the borough.

The Italian national, of Chioggia, was charged on Friday (January 30) with murdering the little girl, who was born in Chioggia on November 22 2014.

No body has been found but Scotland Yard detectives were granted authority to charge her with murder.

The mother appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday (February 3).

Police are still carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the baby’s disappearance. The name of the hotel has not yet been released.
