A WOMAN in her 50s died following a fire in an outbuilding in Kingsbury last night (Sunday).
Fire crews rescued the woman from the fire in Manor Close, Kingsbury, on Sunday April 7 at 6.20pm but she was pronounced dead at the scene by the London Ambulance Service.
The fire brigade was called at 6.21pm and the fire was under control by 6.53.
Two fire engines and around ten firefighters and officers from Stanmore and Mill Hill fire stations were at the scene.
It is understood the woman was aged 53 years, though police are awaiting formal identification and next-of-kin.
A post-mortem will be scheduled in due course.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
