A woman caught with 11 stolen bikes in Twickenham has been ordered to do 60 hours of unpaid work.

The bikes were found stored at Marie Sharon Scotts' home in Brunel Walk, Twickenham, on May 30 this year.

The 53-year-old denied possession of stolen goods but was found guilty at Feltham Magistrates' Court on October 27.

She was sentenced on Monday (November 24) at the same court to a one year community order, including 60 hours of unpaid work. She was also told to pay £100 in costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

In October, police issued an appeal after a top triathlete's £4,000 bike was stolen in Uxbridge, leaving him struggling to compete.
