LAST week, Zizzi, the high street Italian chain, opened a new restaurant on the Chimes Piazza Uxbridge.

The beautiful Tudor style building is made up of ancient timbers saved from a local historical site and is completely inspired by three local themes: Art Deco, Civil Engineer Brunel, and Bronze Age artefacts.

The eclectic artistic theme of the restaurant bar is inspired by the Art Deco-style local department store Randall’s while the maroon chairs have been matched to the colour of the Metropolitan Line - Uxbridge’s main travel link into London.

Bronze Age artefacts that were found during the excavation of footings for the Chimes shopping centre have also inspired the bronze finish of the Chef’s Table.

To mark the opening of the bespoke Zizzi Uxbridge on the Chimes Piazza, Gazette readers have the chance to nominate a friend or loved one who deserves a party in their honour.

Be sure to buy this week's Gazette (on Wednesday March 30th) for a chance to win meals for 10 people at Zizzi Uxbridge.
