A woman prison officer from Willesden has been sentenced to seven years in jail – after being found guilty of smuggling in heroin for inmates.

Patricia Ollivierre was the subject of an investigation at Wormword Scrubs in west London and was caught with £1,600 worth of cannabis and 17 grams of heroin.

The 30-year-old of Huddlestone Road, Willesden Green, was returning from lunch when was stopped by officers with a sniffer dog, and ordered to her car.

As workmates searched the car Ollivierre produced a wrap containing 14 grams of heroin – which she had hidden in her mouth.

Within her car she had also stashed three grams of heroin and a large block of herbal cannabis.

As part of the follow-up investigation, Met police officers examined Ollivierre's mobile phone and found it to contain a number of images of a serving prisoner in his cell, as well as inappropriate lewd images.

A search of the prisoner's cell uncovered an illegal mobile phone.

Speaking after the conviction Phil Taylor, the Governor of Wormwood Scrubs, said: "We are always vigilant to the possibility of staff corruption and have stringent measures in place to detect and deal with these matters by gathering intelligence.

“We pro-actively support criminal prosecutions where appropriate, and as Governor I will not tolerate staff corruption of any kind.”
