The borough’s Summer Reading Challenge this year is Mythical Maze. The challenge at Hillingdon Libraries opens a world of mythical creatures and characters with wondrous stories for children to discover.

To take on this a-maze-ing challenge, children must visit their local library at least six times and borrow books to read over the summer. There are free goodies to reward them along the way.

Then they must make it through the maze to be awarded a medal and certificate.

The challenge is free to join and suitable for ages four to 11, but participants do need a library card. Getting one is easy if you are not already a library member – ask staff at your local branch.
