DEAR Mr Fox, Mrs Badger,Mr and Mrs Woodcock, The Skylark family, Miss Grass Snake, Messrs Cuckoo and Bullfinch, Mr and Mrs Pipistrelle and Mr Great Spotted Woodpecker

I was sorry to hear that Harrow Council has issued you all with notices to quit your current homes and beautiful green belt open space next to the ancient woodland of Pear Wood at Wood Farm, Stanmore.

However I understand they are going to provide you with an area which you yourselves would not

have thought of living in previously, at an address nearer to Brockley Hill.

While I agree the new address is not one you would have chosen, the purpose-built bird and bat boxes will, I am sure, make up for your loss of natural environment.

As you know, people in the form of multi-millionaires do need luxury houses, particularly on scarce green belt land with your beautiful views.

I am sorry that their pets may cause a problem with the safety of your families but you must under-stand that Harrow Council needs to raise millions of pounds by selling your precious homes, in order to grant access to the population at large,to walk on the dump next door.

With all best wishes for your future, wherever that is.

A NEWT
