A MAN who exposed himself to a fellow passenger in a ‘frightening incident’ on a Tube train has been spared jail.

Lon Iorga, 39, of Kingsgate, Wembley, was travelling on a Piccadilly line service between Knightsbridge and Acton Town stations when he exposed himself to a 22-year-old woman, then followed her to another carriage when she tried to move away from him.

The victim alighted at Acton Town and informed a PCSO on patrol at the station. The Romanian national was arrested and quickly identified by three witnesses.

Iorga appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on November 16, 2012, and denied one count of exposure ‘causing alarm or distress’ in relation to the Tube incident, which was between 9pm and 9.30pm on October 10, 2012.

He changed his plea to guilty at a subsequent hearing on February 14.

Iorga was sentenced on Thursday, March 28, at the same court to 12 weeks’ in prison, suspended for 12 months.

The magistrates ordered him to observe an electronically-monitored curfew, from 9pm to 5am, for three months.
