The multimillionaire businessman behind the charity building Wembley Park Academy has been named as one of the victims of the £50 billion American banking scam.

Arpad Busson, the fiancee of Uma Thurman who made his millions through hedge fund group EIM, is estimated to have lost around $220 million after investing in the fraud.

The wealthy entrepreneur is also the figurehead of Absolute Return for Kids (Ark) who have funded a number of academies in the UK - including the proposed school in Bridge Road.

It is not yet know if the revelations will effect the project.
