A 32-YEAR-OLD Wembley man is to stand trial next year accused of trying to kill three Harrow police officers in a stabbing in Kingsbury.

Christopher Houghton, of Milford Gardens, Wembley, appeared at the Old Bailey on Monday charged with three counts of attempted murder, two of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, one of causing actual bodily harm, one of assault and one of affray.

All relate to a incident in Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury, on Saturday November 19.

Houghton was remanded in custody to appear back at the Old Bailey for plea and case management hearing on February 27 next year.

A provisional trial date has been scheduled for April 16 2012.
