MY COLLEAGUES and I on the London Assembly have been calling for a number of years for the Perryn Road footbridge to be replaced with a design that will accommodate cyclists and disabled users.

So I am delighted that by early August this new footbridge will be in place. This will mean improved access between Perryn Road and The Approach.

The main span of the footbridge was made off site and lifted into position by crane on

Friday, May 22. By doing this TfL has ensured that it will be open to all users by early August. This is great news for my constituents.
