A PAEDOPHILE from Wealdstone who preyed on and sexually abused four teenage boys has been jailed for five years.

Hasnain Manji, 43, of High Street, targeted victims aged between 10 and 14, the first of his sick attacks occuring in 1989 and the last in 2011.

The 43-year-old was sentenced on Friday at Harrow Crown Court after previously admitting 15 child sex offences at the same court on January 5.

He will have to sign the sex offenders' register for life.

Detective Constable Rachel Snow, from the Metropolitan Police Service's Child Abuse Investigation Command, said: "This man waited until these young boys were alone before assaulting them whilst they were vulnerable.

"The first two victims suffered in silence for many years trying to put what happened to them at the back of their minds and I commend the bravery of the victims for coming forward.

"Today justice has been done as this man received his sentence, ensuring that no other innocent child shall suffer in his hands in the future."

Manji admitted one count of indecent assaulting a 12-year-old boy, who is now in his 30s, in his sleep between November 1989 and

November 1991, and one of indecent assaulting a second boy, then aged 10, between April 1990 and April 1991.

He admitted one count of sexual activity with a child under 18 years, relating to his third victim, a 12-year-old boy, in December 2010, and seven of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, namely sexual touching, with the same boy from August 2010 until January 2011.

The 43-year-old's fourth victim was aged 14 and he admitted five counts of inciting the boy to engage in sexual activity, namely sexual touching, from August 2010 until November 2010.

Det Con Snow said: "We also know that victims of such offences don't always want to come direct to police and to encourage them to do so.

"The NSPCC have set up a commissioned help line, 0808 800 5000, for anyone wishing to make contact. They are also able to offer language services."
