LES GOCK, who wrote in your letters page in reply to my letter about the police holding a meeting with Polish people missed my point completely.

I am not anti-Polish, or anti anyone, and of course the police should include them and every-one living in this country. The point I was making is that this country is getting so politically correct and wants to appease immigrants coming into this country that the British are often pushed to the back of the queue or ignored completely.

I felt that funds used for this Polish meeting could have been put to better use for everyone. If these meetings are repeated all over Britain, how much more money is wasted? We could have more police officers on the beat, which would benefit everyone. Everybody and all nations should be equal.

Incidentally, Mr Gock, thank you for the history lesson on how Britain joined the war because Germany invaded Poland, but I didn't need it.
