CELEBRITY sportsmen will battle against each other in a golf game with a twist to win money for charity.
Tickets have gone on sale today for the Zone Golf Charity Shoot Out at Dukes Meadows which will see golfing superstars Ian Poulter, Justin Road, Paul Lawrie and Paul McGinley, paired up with celebrity sportsmen including tennis player Tim Henman and footballer Jamie Redknapp, to play a new speeded up game of golf to win £100,000 to donate to a charity of their choice.
The losing pairs will get £50,000 which will go to the pro golfers' charities of choice and the whole event, which is on the May Bank Holiday Monday will be hosted by TV presenter Vernon Kay. The money has been donated by an anonymous donor.
Not only is the day a chance to raise money for good causes, but it is also the launch of a new version of speedy golf played over nine holes with each par three green being divided into three coloured and different difficulty zones with a hole and flag in each.
Each team has to nominate a zone on the tee and hit into that zone to acquire the relevant points, with the team gaining the most points winning.
