Firefighters have managed to successfully battle a house fire in Warwick Avenue this morning.

Part of the first floor of the two-storey semi-detached house was alight when London Fire Brigade was called at 10:51am today (August 22).

It is thought about 20 per cent of the first floor was damaged.

Luckily nobody was injured in the blaze in Westminster.

A total of 20 firefighters and officers with four fire engines from Mill Hill, Finchley and Hendon fire stations were at the scene and had the fire under control by 11:35am

The cause of the fire is now under investigation by London Fire Brigade.
