Police want to speak to this man in connection with the theft of gardening tools worth £1,150 from Avondale Gardens, in Hounslow

Police are hunting this man in connection with the theft of gardening equipment worth nearly £1,200 from an estate in Hounslow.

He was caught on CCTV walking away from Avondale Gardens, near Hounslow Heath, on Friday, October 24, carrying the petrol-powered tools.

The £750 Stihl hedge trimmer and £400 leaf blower had been taken from the estate's gardens that morning at about 10.30am (the estate manager says the time on the CCTV system was incorrect).

The suspect is described as a white man, aged 30-40 and about 5ft10. He was wearing a red sleeveless jacket and black trousers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hounslow Police on 020 8247 6187, the non-emergency police number 101 or, to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
