WE ALL know that in recent years the UK has handed over many more powers to Brussels.

What we did not know until last week was just how much money the previous government promised to hand over too.

The new Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), which was set up in May to make an independent assessment of the state of Britain's public finances, has estimated that Britain's net contribution to the European Union budget will rise from £6.4billion in 2009/10 to £10.3bn by 2014/15.

Londoners pay the biggest share of this money.

As London's MEP (member of European parliament), I am campaigning to reinstate Britain's rebate and to stop ever more powers being given to Brussels in our name.
