RESIDENTS are encouraged to nominate their local branches in the People's Post Office Awards.
The awards launched earlier this week and all local Post Offices in Hillingdon are in the running for the awards, where customers nominate the branch or outlet that they feel is the best in the area.
The awards are aimed to reward Post Office staff for outstanding customer service, and entrants will be judged based on votes and comments from nominators.
In addition there will also be special recognition awards to branches which demonstrate unique ways of providing services and who make a real contribution to the community.
Examples of commendable service by individual members of staff will also be acknowledged.
Melanie Corfield, Post Office Ltd spokesperson said: "Three special additional awards will reward Post Office team which go above and beyond to serve their customers.
"These recognise the tole the Post Office teams play at the heart of communities in raising millions of pounds for charity every year, and also by helping local people in need of care or assistance."
Voting forms are available from Post Office branches in Hillingdon, and customers can also vote online at www.bestpostoffice.co.uk and by doing so can win £500 to donate to a charity of their choice.
