IN THE past week the Gazette has received numerous emails and letters from people backing the Save Our Services at Ealing Hospital campaign.

It is vitally important everyone sign the petition, join the Facebook group and comment on the proposals, which are still being denied but which have been debated, according to leaked documents obtained by the Gazette.

We need to act now to stop these initial proposals going further and leaving the people of Ealing with a skeletal hospital unable to provide vital healthcare services.

Someone suffering life-threatening wounds, where every minute counts, would be transported to hospitals in central London, pregnant women in need of pain relief and midwives to deliver their babies will have to wait until they reach out-of-borough destinations, and parents will need to travel miles to see their children if they cannot be treated in Ealing.

Ealing Hospital has been criticised in the past, but services have been delivered and lives saved; everyone will be affected if these proposals are pushed through.

Now is the time for action.
