Police were called to Weald Way at about 11.30am on Sunday, December 7, after the man was spotted on the roof of a block of flats.

When officers arrived, they witnessed the man throwing tiles into the street below, and they attempted to calm him down. It is not known why he took to the roof.

Police say he eventually came down from his precarious perch and was taken to a West London police station. There are no further details at present.

A second man was arrested on the ground and was later charged with obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty.

He was bailed to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, December 23.
